I've begun to notice that foods from around the world are a lot more similar than I had once thought. I see Spanish frittata and think hash browns and eggs... I see English scones and I think southern biscuits! KUMBAYA! WE'RE NOT SO DIFFERENT AFTER ALL!
To illustrate my point, I've created a little game called, "Name - that - food!" (I can hear the Wheel of Fortune crowd cheering us on).

Okay okay, so I may not have fooled you (I'll reveal the answers in the next post), but seeing all these choices for the same item does make you think about the way different countries have influenced each others' cuisines. After all, where would America be without pizza?
That isn't to say there aren't unique foods that no other country would eat... like monkey brains... fried crickets... or sacred cows... but you get the picture.
