Welcome to Foodie Forecast – a place to read about foodie products, foodie restaurants and foodie reviews.
Before I begin you should know that one of my life long goals has been to retire. At the ripe age of 23 I bring up my retirement because I always planned on being a food critic in my future. They say life is short and eventually I’ll be in a home somewhere exchanging ceviche for Jello – strawberry if I’m lucky – and I don’t want to have my food critic days stunted because I have no teeth. So here we go. With food in my forecast and an expert palate for taste, I begin my career in gastronomy.
Now what did you think when you first read the title of my blog? You may have thought to yourself, “Who do you think you are creating yet ANOTHER food blog? Have you read what’s out there in the blogosphere? It’s a sea of eaters, diners, and chefs screaming their heads off and YOU want to get in on the action?”
To that I kick-up-my-heels and shout, “Giddy up!”
Of course I know there are a number of amazing food blogs already out there. I know this because I read them at my day job. I currently do digital public affairs work for a communications firm in Washington, D.C. where one of my daily tasks is to learn about the conversations among bloggers and see what interests them. So, yes, I do know that there are a lot of bloggers out there, but that hasn’t stopped me from pouring the cream into the lemon juice and seeing what happens.
Here I am; ready to taste, experience and review food in a new way that helps others improve their foodie forecasts.
